Introducing latest additions to the Solid Foundations series of textbooks for African Languages for NSSCAS

The results of the NSSCAS Gap Submissions are finally out and NPH is on top again! 

We are pleased to introduce our newly approved textbooks for Oshikwanyama First Language and Oshindonga First Language for Grade 12 AS level:

•  Solid Foundations Pyokola Elaka Ondondo 12 lyoNSSCAS

Written by Oshikwanyama and Oshindonga language experts and devoted teachers who are keen to continue developing African mother tongues for the greater good of Namibian children, these two courses are based on the latest syllabuses for Oshikwanyama and Oshindonga developed by NIED for Grade 12 for implementation in 2021. They provide outstanding support for both Grade 12 learners and teachers in preparation for the final examination.

Each course consists of a Learner’s Book and a Teacher’s Guide and has been approved by the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture as core materials for Oshikwanyama and Oshindonga First Language Grade 12.

Our highly anticipated title for Office Administration NQF Levels 1–4 is finally here!

Last week we had the pleasure to deliver our latest addition to the Solid Foundations family of textbooks to the Namibia Training Authority. The newly published Solid Foundations Office Administration NQF Levels 1–4 Student's Book has been developed in collaboration with the NTA to facilitate the teaching of Office Administration in Vocational Training Centres across the country.

The Solid Foundations Office Administration NQF Levels 1–4 Student's Book follows the NTA's new Unit Standards for the occupational area and addresses the performance criteria for all four levels in a comprehensive and most logical way. The book is now available at our bookshop on 19 Faraday Street, Windhoek.

Namibia Publishing House together with Macmillan Education Namibia are pleased to announce that our trusted Solid Foundations series of textbooks for English Second Language for Senior Primary up to Senior Secondary phases now includes the newly approved by the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture core materials for Grade 12 Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Advanced Subsidiary level (NSSCAS).

Written with the NSSCAS English Second Language Syllabus in mind, this Solid Foundations English Second Language Grade 12 for NSSCAS course aims to: 

• build a bridge between Grade 12 and tertiary education
• instil in learners natural curiosity and passion for learning
• ensure proficiency in English Second Language 
• give learners the confidence to pursue further studies or proceed to employment.

The course consists of a Learner’s Book, Teacher’s Guide and a CD and features:

• wide range of activities designed to practise learners’ skills of analysis, synthesis, interpretation, evaluation and critical thinking in order to use information effectively
